(ĐN)- Bien Hoa city’s Mobilization Board of Voluntary Blood Donation has just held a ceremony to honor 76 individuals for their blood donation efforts. In 2010, the city’s humanitarian blood donation programs received wholehearted support from thousands of state employees, youth members and local people, collected 1,600 units of blood.
Since the beginning of the year, the city received more than 1,750 blood units, fulfilling nearly 60% of the year’s target.
The city targets to collect 3,300 units of blood in 2011. Accordingly, it will strive to reach and surpass the set target for the whole year, solve blood shortages in the city’s hospitals.
