(ĐN)- There are now 15 doctors working in Dau Giay polyclinic hospital but 5 of them are currently undergoing specialist training. The shortage of doctors at the hospital has led to an overload at the hospital and doctors are overworked because there are not enough of them to work both in the hospital and Kiem Tan general clinic.

About 300-400 patients daily visit the hospital for receiving medical check-ups and treatment. Especially, the daily number of visits to the hospital reached 450 for peak days. In addition, Kiem Tan general clinic currently sees 70 patients per day.
Dr. Do Minh Nguyen, Director of Dau Giay polyclinic hospital said the hospital is suffering from a severe shortage of doctors and the problem will become more acute when new hospital with a capacity of more than 100 beds will officially open in Long Khanh town at the end of April. Once fully operational, the new hospital will face a shortage of as many as 15 doctors in the future.
