(ĐN)- From the beginning of this year till now, two people in Dong Nai province have been found positive of malignant malaria. With prompt diagnosis and treatment, they have made a full recovery from malaria. The number of malignant malaria cases recorded in the province in the first two months of the year is equal to the last year’s figure. The Dong Nai Preventive Medicine Centre has taken the initiative for strengthening malaria control activities and programs in the province, raising awareness of measures to prevent and treat the disease among populations. The Centre also recommended that local residents should take anti-malaria drug before going to the forest or when sleeping in the field and they can receive free drugs at local medical stations.
