(ĐN)- According to the statistics from the Dong Nai Traffic Police Department, 133 traffic accidents have occurred in the province from the beginning of the year up to now, killing 48 people and injuring more than 130 others, showing an increase of over 45 per cent in the number of road accidents, a 52 per cent rise in deaths and a 35 per cent jump in injures when compared to December 2010.
(ĐN)- According to the statistics from the Dong Nai Traffic Police Department, 133 traffic accidents have occurred in the province from the beginning of the year up to now, killing 48 people and injuring more than 130 others, showing an increase of over 45, 52 and 35 percent in the number of accidents, deaths and injuries, respectively when compared to December 2010. Traffic accidents in province were mostly caused by carelessness and poor awareness on the part of drivers.

During January and February this year, the province saw 2 railway accidents, killing 3 people. These accidents included the worst rail disaster in Bien Hoa city’s history which occurred at around 7:35 p.m. on February 6 on the Ghenh Bridge, on which rail tracks and road lanes run in parallel. Two people died and 26 others were injured.
