(ĐN)- Dong Nai’s authorities on January 25 met with representatives of religious dignitaries to welcome the Lunar New Year.
At the meeting, Standing Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Le Hong Phuong praised the great contributions of religious dignitaries and followers to the province’s achievements over the past year. He also highlighted great efforts made by religious followers in practising faith in line with both the religion’s rules and the country’s laws under the motto “serving both religion and society well” as well as building a strong great national unity bloc and promoting national unity, contributing to building a more prosperous province.
He also called on religious dignitaries and followers to actively engage in patriotic emulations, enthusiastically participate in poverty reduction programmes, charitable and social activities contributing to fulfill socio-economic tasks for 2011.
Religious dignitaries expressed their delight at the province’s socio-economic achievements over the past year. They also expressed their confidence in the country’s development policy.
