(ĐN)- Bien Hoa branch of Capital Aid Fund for Employment of the Poor (CEP) was established on December, 2007 with an aim to improve the welfare of the poor in the city through the provision of financial services for income generation and employment creation. After three year of operation, the branch has provided loans worth nearly VND140 billion to some 9,500 local poor laborers, workers and state employees.

The branch’s main activities are to assist the poor in developing their businesses and meeting their basic needs, to reduce the rate of unemployment and to support a spirit of mutual assistance in work.
Over the past time, the Bien Hoa branch has made practical contributions to the city’s hunger eradication and poverty alleviation program, has substantially improved living standards of thousands of poor families in the locality. Besides, the branch opened vocational training courses and provided consultancy to help its clients to use capital effectively.
Until now, CEP has established four branches in Dong Nai, including branches of Bien Hoa, Bien Hoa Dong, Long Thanh and Nhon Trach. The branches are estimated to provide loans totaling more than VND351 billion to 61,502 poor beneficiaries by the end of this year.
