The competition was part of the East Travel Award under the sponsorship of Vina Kyoei Steel Ltd. Company and the Career Development Community Motibee. The programme aims to honor teachers who are active, creative and devoted to education as well as help poor students overcome difficulties.
This program is launched in the South East region and the Mekong Delta from July, 2010 to May 2011.
The award ceremony for the wiriting contest “East Travel Torchlight” is expected to take place on Vietnam Teachers’ Day, November 20 in Ho Chi Minh city. At the ceremony, the organisers will present 150 scholarships to studious poor students and 150 scholarships to their teachers. The top three prize winners and six outstanding students will be selected to visit Japan.
