18th Photographic Exhibition on Southeastern Region and its people opens in Dong Nai

(ĐN)- The 18th Photographic Exhibition on Southeastern Region and its people opened in Dong Nai on October 5.

(ĐN)- The 18^th Photographic Exhibition on Southeastern Region and its people opened in Dong Nai on October 5.

The ten-day exhibition showcases 121 selected photos from more than 1,200 works of 202 photographers from eight southeastern provinces, Dong Nai, Binh Duong, Binh Phuoc, Tay Ninh, Ba Ria – Vung Tau, Lam Dong, Binh Thuan and Ninh Thuan. Binh Duong province that submited to a contest focusing on Southeastern Region and its people. Out of a total of over 1,200 photos submitted, 203 entries came from Dong Nai’s 34 photographers.

The contest was jointly held by the Literature and Art Association and the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Dong Nai province and the Vietnam Artistic Photographers Association.

A photo "Overcoming difficulties" by Luu Thuan Thoi wins the gold medal

Photographer Luu Thuan Thoi from Dong Nai won the gold medal for his photo entitled “Vuot kho” (Overcoming difficulties). Three silver medals were awarded to a photo entitled “Hen ngay ve” (Promise of a comeback) taken by Le Cung from Ninh Thuan, a photo “Luong sang cong nghiep” (Industry shine a bright light) by The Hung from Tay Ninh and one “Dang que” (the image of countryside) by Le Van Hung from Ninh Thuan. In addition, five bronze medals and seven consolidation prizes were given out.

Dong Nai bagged the first prize for team while the second prize for team was presented to Binh Thuan.
