Dong Nai orders Vedan to pay farmers nearly VND120 bil

Dong Nai Province People’s Committee has requested Taiwanese-owned MSG maker Vedan Viet Nam to pay pollution compensation of nearly VND120 billion to farmers in Long Thanh and Nhon Trach districts for losses Vedan caused by polluting the Thi Vai River

The Dong Nai Province People’s Committee has requested Taiwanese-owned MSG maker Vedan Viet Nam to pay pollution compensation of nearly VND120 billion to farmers in Long Thanh and Nhon Trach districts for losses Vedan caused by polluting the Thi Vai River, the General Environment Department said on Thursday.

The committee ordered Vedan to compensate farmers completely by the end of this month.
