(ĐN)- Late last week, Dong Nai provincial Children Sponsoring Fund in cooperation with HCM city-based Trieu An hospital provided heart examinations to 280 children who have symptoms of heart disease across the province.
In 2009, more than 300 children received free heart check-ups, 77 of them were diagnosed with heart disease and got surgeries. The cost of free operations, over VND3.8 billion, was mobilized by the provincial Sponsor’s Fund for Children.
Deputy Director of the Fund Hoang Van Long said that the fund will continue to mobilize donations from organizations and individuals to offer free operations to around 80 children in 2010.
