Village of Chau Ro ethnic group makes achievements in population control

Collaborators go to each household to persuade people to implement birth control

(ĐN)- Over the past years, the population and family planning work has been effectively carried out in the village of Chau Ro ethnic group in Xuan Hoa commune, Xuan Loc district, Dong Nai province. It was not easy to persuade Chau Ro ethnic people to implement birth control; however, population collaborators at the grassroots level made all efforts to go to each household, convince them to use birth control methods. Accordingly, nearly 95% of child-bearing age women in the village use modern contraceptive methods. The village didn’t have families delivering third children for the past three years.

Presently, Chau Ro ethnic people’s life became better, they are provided with land for production under the programme No.134.
