(ĐN)- Speaking at the meeting with leaders of health offices, health stations and preventive medical centers across the province on August 6, Director of Health Department Tu Thanh Chuong stressed the need to give investment priorities to grassroots-level medical systems. According to the representatives, most grassroots level medical clinics are lack of medical facilities and trained staff. Meanwhile, Dong Nai is targeted that by 2010, all communes must have doctors and national standard medical stations. However, up to day, only 70.8% of communes meet national standards. Accordingly, the province plans to build new grassroots level health clinics and upgrade existing equipment in others as well as training more medical staff to improve the quality of the medical treatment and health care for the people.
