In the initial time, he had a complex about his appearance; however, he overcame difficulties to achieve good study results and enthusiastically participate in social activities launched by the university. Thao is one of students who regularly volunteered in the university’s Green Summer campaigns to help children and people in remote areas.
Recently, Thao has been selected as the leader of volunteer youth group in Cam Duong, Long Thanh district even though he has just graduated from the university. The campaign would teach the volunteers a lesson they hadn’t learnt at school; they would learn valuable lesions about human compassion, farmers’ lives and society, said Thao.
