Born in northern Bac Giang Province, Le Thi Tinh was the only girl-child in the family, her father sacrificed his life for the country. After graduating from senior high school, Tinh voluntarily joined the army in 1986.

Born in northern Bac Giang Province, Le Thi Tinh was the only girl-child in the family, her father sacrificed his life for the country. After graduating from senior high school, Tinh voluntarily joined the army in 1986. During the past 20 years, she has been served as air force nurse in Bien Hoa city (unit C35 under Air-force Corps B70). Her husband recently died following a traffic accident. She has two children, one son and one daughter. Although facing many difficulties, she has overcome herself, managing to bring up children and doing very good in her job. Besides, she has actively participated in social movements.
Her daughter and son, a first-year student at HCM city Industry University and 11th grade student at Ngo Quyen high school, study too hard and love their mother very much. To set an example for children, Tinh was always enthusiastic to help her neighbours in any way she could; therefore, she gained the respect and trust of them.
With a monthly salary of nearly VND2 million, she had to save money to pay school fees for children and treat her heart disease. However, she made efforts to overcome difficulties and complete her task excellently.
Therefore, she was recognized as emulation soldier for five consecutive years. In 2004, she was awarded certificate of merit of Ministry of Defense for her contributions.
