(ĐN)- According to the Environmental Protection Bureau, the 2007 Clean Up the World Campaign will be launched in Dong Nai province’s Bien Hoa city on September 14 by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment and Dong Nai provincial People’s Committee. At the same day, the campaign, themed “Our climate, our actions, our future” will be also held in Ha Nam province.  Clean Up the World, a community based environmental campaign, was initiated in 1993 by Australians under the endorsement of the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP). Until now, the campaign has inspired an estimated 35 million volunteers in over 120 countries each year to take action. This is one of the largest community-based environmental campaigns in the world aiming to positively improve local environments.

To respond to the campaign, local authorities, branches and organizations hold activities to raise public awareness about environmental protection, encourage them to participate in activities to clean up and protect the environment, carry out practical steps to contribute to the cause of global environment protection.
