More than VND700 million mobilized to help poor students

Nhon Trach districts Study Encouragement Association offers bicycles to poor pupils

(ĐN)- From the beginning of 2007 until now, Nhon Trach district’s Study Encouragement Association mobilized more than VND700 million to help outstanding poor students. Accordingly, the association offered 300 scholarships worth VND100,000 - VND500,000 each to poor students, presented 2,182 gifts to poor pupils, awarded “Giving Strength to Students” scholarships valued at VND1.2 million each to 20 excellent students. Moreover, the association held to commend and reward 343 excellent teachers at all level; total value of rewards was about VND70 million. Besides, the association granted computer screens to two students who are living in difficult circumstances.
