(ĐN)- On the occasion of the coming Lunar New Year, the provincial Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee, Fatherland Front Committee and organizations, enterprises, units held to visit and present more than 8,400 Tet gifts to the poor families throughout the province.
Accordingly, the provincial Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee offered 962 gifts worth VND100,000 each to poor ethnic people in the province; Dong Nai province’s Fatherland Front Committee mobilized 885 gifts valued at VND150,000 each from its member units, enterprises and individuals to help poor families welcome Tet. The provincial Labor Union also donated VND180 million to 900 poor workers who can’t return home for Tet. Mass Mobilisation Department of the Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee gave 1,300 gifts worth VND130 million to the poor in 23 communes and wards in the province. The provincial Committee for Population, Family and Children awarded 3,160 Tet gifts valued at approximately VND600 million to Agent Orange victims.
On February 16, Dong Nai Water Supply and Construction Company will bring 15,000 liters of clean water to suburb communes of Bien Hoa city such as Buu Long, Tan Van, Tan Bien, Ho Nai and Tan Hanh to provide free of charge to the poor households.
