(ĐN)- The department of Education and Training of Dong Nai province recently held a singing performance to mark the anniversary of the Party and welcome the Lunar New Year, while at the same time, raising money for Quy Tam Long Vang (Gold Heart Fund). The fund aims to support teachers and students living in difficult situations as well as orphaned and disabled children.
(ĐN)- The department of Education and Training of Dong Nai province recently held a singing performance to mark the anniversary of the Party and welcome the Lunar New Year, while at the same time, raising money for Quy Tam Long Vang (Gold Heart Fund). The fund aims to support teachers and students living in difficult situations as well as orphaned and disabled children.
The department said that the performance has raised 524 million VND for the Gold Heart Fund and all donations will be used to build houses for poor teachers, grant scholarships for poor students and present gifts to teachers and students living in difficult situations on the occasion of the traditional Lunar New Year Festival (Tet).
Knowing that, in 2004, the department spent nearly 300 million VND raised from a charity performance to build 24 houses for poor teachers and grant scholarships for 203 poor students.
