Long Thanh district awards scholarships to 73 outstanding poor students

(ĐN)- Long Thanh district’s Study Encouragement Association has just held a ceremony to offer scholarships to 33 outstanding poor students who are studying at senior high schools in the district.

(ĐN)- Long Thanh district’s Study Encouragement Association has just held a ceremony to offer scholarships to 33 outstanding poor students who are studying at senior high schools in the district. Each scholarship worth VND500,000 donated by Study Encouragement Fund of the provincial Study Encouragement Association. Knowing that the Association will continue to award “Giving Strength to Students” scholarships to the recipients who are admitted into the universities and colleges.

 

At the same time, the district’s Study Encouragement Association handed 40 scholarships to recipients who are obedient and respectful pupils. The scholarships, worth VND500,000 each, were financed by Deputy General Director of Vedan Vietnam Yang Chen Wen who is the son of one of the founders of the Taiwan Vedan Group. Mr. Yang Chen Wen has established the scholarship program which has the same name as his farther’s name. To continue the father’s charity works, Mr Yang Chen Wen has granted scholarships to outstanding poor students and respectful pupils in Long Thanh and Nhon Trach districts during the past time.
