
(ĐN)- The Dong Nai Culture and Information sector yesterday held a ceremony to receive the first class Labour Medal at the province’s square. Also present at the ceremony were Le Doan Hop, Minister of Culture and Information, Tran Dinh Thanh, Member of PCC, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the People’s Council of Dong Nai province, Vo Van Mot, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee.

Over the past five years, the provincial Culture and Information sector has made great contributions to the province’s development. The sector has organized successfully many cultural events on the country’s big holidays. Furthermore, the provincial culture and information sector has worked closely with relevant agencies to promote and improve the quality of cultural activities in deep-lying and remote areas. During the past years, the sector has spread out and upgraded the efficiency of the campaign on "The entire people unite to build a cultural life" to help culture infuse deeply into each and every family and individual in the province.
In 2007, the Dong Nai culture and information sector will strengthen the state management on cultural and information activities; improve quality and effectively implement the campaign to unite all people to build a cultural lifestyle and build a project to socialize cultural and information activities.
At the ceremony, Minister Le Doan Hop handed over the First-Class Labor Medal of the State President to the Dong Nai Culture and Information sector. In addition, the Third- Class Labor Medals were awarded to the Dong Nai Library and Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tri, Director of the provincial Culture and Information Department and Mr. Tran Tat Thanh, Director of the provincial library. On the occasion, certificates of merit from the Prime Minister were presented to 16 units and individuals for their outstanding achievements for 2001-2005 period.
