Catholic dignitaries pay Tet visit to the provincial leaders

(ĐN)- A delegation of the Dong Nai Archdiocese on February 5 paid a well-wishing visit to the provincial leaders on the occasion of the approaching traditional Lunar New Year festival (Tet). The delegation was received by Tran Dinh Thanh, Member of PCC, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Peoples Council of Dong Nai province.

(ĐN)- A delegation of the Dong Nai Archdiocese on February 5 paid a well-wishing visit to the provincial leaders on the occasion of the approaching traditional Lunar New Year festival (Tet). The delegation was received by Tran Dinh Thanh, Member of PCC, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the People’s Council of Dong Nai province.

During the visit, Archbishop of Xuan Loc diocese Nguyen Chu Trinh and Priest Tran Xuan Thao, President of the Provincial Catholic Solidarity Committee expressed their joy at the province’s socio-economic achievements in 2006. On behalf of religious followers, the dignitaries thanked the local authorities for their efforts to facilitate follower’s practice of religious activities.

The provincial leaders praised the contributions of religious dignitaries and followers to the province’s socio-economic development as well as maintaining security and social order, and involvement in charitable activities. They also expressed their hope that catholic dignitaries will call upon followers to participate in emulation movements for national construction.
