(ĐN)- In the morning of January 22, Dong Nai provincial Red Cross Association held a ceremony to present Tet gifts to poor disabled people and Agent Orange victims in the province. Attending the ceremony were Head of the Mass Mobilisation Department of the Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee Bui Ngoc Thanh and Vice Chairwoman of the provincial People’s Committee Huynh Thi Nga. About 560 gifts, worth VND300,000 each including 200,000 in cash and gifts, were offered to the recipients.
At the same time, representatives of the provincial Red Cross Association came to Kon Tum province to present 1,500 gifts to the local poor people and attend the inauguration ceremony of two new classrooms at Dac To Lung primary school in Kon Pray district. The new classroom was funded by donations from employees and members of the Association. In the next time, the Association will continue to offer 2,000 Tet gifts to the poor throughout the province.
