Vietnam has ranked seventh at the Asia Pacific ICT Alliance Awards 2019 (APICTA Awards 2019), the first ever of its kind held in Vietnam.
The Vietnamese delegation was awarded a cup in the category of community services and eight certificates of merit during a ceremony in Ha Long city in the northern province of Quang Ninh on November 22.
The jury, including 75 members from Vietnam and foreign countries, selected outstanding products out of 324 entries from 16 APICTA member countries and economies, to present 24 cups and 74 certificates of merit.
The four-day event, starting from November 19, saw the participation of nearly 1,000 delegates, including over 650 foreigners from the APICTA member countries and economies and more than 300 domestic delegates.
APICTA is an alliance of national ICT organisations representing their respective economy to build and enhance a mutually cooperative network to promote ICT, enhance technology innovations, capability and adoption, and encourage the development of indigenous ICT solutions for the global market.
Dubbed the “Oscar” of the ICT sector in Asia-Pacific APICTA Awards have the categories of consumer, inclusions and community services, industry, business services, public sector and government and cross categories of research and development, start-ups, big data analytics, Internet-of-Things, and artificial intelligence.
