(ĐN)- The Centre for Rescue, Conservation and Creatures Development at Cat Tien National Park in Dong Nai Province on November 16 received two pygmy slow lorises from the Forest Ranger Departments of Long Khanh and Bien Hoa cities.
The lorises, weighting 0.6 kg each, were promptly received and taken care of so their health are getting better. They were then released into the wild.
The slow loris (Nycticebus pygmaeus) is threatened with extinction in Vietnam. The animal is now ranked at the Vulnerable level (VU - High risk of endangerment in the wild) in the Vietnam Red Book.
