This year’s contest themed “Nem Con” (con throwing), which was jointly held in Ninh Binh province, Vietnam, by the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union (ABU) and the Vietnam Television (VTV) on August 26, attracted 19 teams from 18 countries and territories, including two teams from Lac Hong University who represented Vietnam to compete at the event.
This is the university’s third championship at the contest, marking the seventh time Vietnam has championed the ABU Robocon, in 2002, 2004, 2006, 2014, 2015, 2017 and 2018.
Found in 2002 by ABU, the Asia-Pacific Robot Contest (ABU Robocon) aims to create friendship among young people and advance engineering and broadcasting technologies in the region.
