Vietnam's first certified PCI DSS Data Centre

In January 2018, Crossbow Labs has issued the PCI DSS v3.2 certificate to CMC Telecom, Vietnam's first and unique Data Centre, for meeting the latest security requirements.

In January 2018, Crossbow Labs has issued the PCI DSS v3.2 certificate to CMC Telecom, Vietnam’s first and unique Data Centre, for meeting the latest security requirements.

Nowadays, cybersecurity is the top priority of enterprises and end users alike. Being aware of the importance of information security, CMC Telecom has been investing comprehensively into cybersecurity—and PCI DSS is one of the top categories. Shortly after the opening, CMC Telecom's new Data Centre has gained the latest PCI DSS (PCI DSS 3.2) security certification by Crossbow Labs.

Founded by the five major card brands—VISA, Master Card, American Express, Discover Financial Services, and JCB International—PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard) is the global data security standard for all entities that process, store or transmit cardholder data and sensitive authentication data.

To attain this certification, enterprises are required to satisfy 12 high level system requirements, including data processing, intrusion control, and information security policies, among others, to ensure payment information is secured when processed, stored or transmitted by organisations that handle these credit cards.

Launched on December 2017 with Tier 3 standards, the new CMC Telecom Data Centre is ​​1,200 square metres with a capacity of over 220 racks. In order to match PCI DSS certification, CMC Telecom must comply with strict security procedures of input and output control, non-stop camera surveillance system with 90-day archival data, risk management and process management the for system, as well as storage and cancellation of information.

Running CMC Telecom’s certified PCI DSS Data Centre, customers of banks, e-payment applications, digital wallets, and e-commerce sites will be more secure and can focus on growing their core businesses with a secured backend infrastructure.

CMC Telecom’s strategic partner—Malaysia’s leading telecommunications provider TIME dotcom—also received PCI DSS certifications for its Data Centre.

The PCI DSS v3.2 certification reaffirms CMC Telecom's commitment and determination to satisfy customers with optimised services, especially data security standards to allow customers to successfully access and enter the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
