The seminar attracted more than 20 scientists from institutes, hospitals and universities in Dong Nai and other provinces.

The national research project, which was carried out by the Drug Institute under the Ministry of Health and the Dong Nai Nature-Culture Reserve, has been approved by the Ministry of Science and Technology and will be implemented from October, 2017 to September, 2021.

The Dong Nai Nature-Culture Reserve is currently home to over1,550 species of plants, including 905 species of medicinal plants. The project will continue its researches to discover other species of medicinal plants, and at first, it will carry out deep researches to select 300 typical genetic sources of about 100 species of endemic, valuable and rare medicinal plants for piloted cultivation.

It will offer a scientific base for suggesting the Government for the approval of investing in the project of building the national medicinal plants park in the Southeast region at the Dong Nai Nature-Culture Reserve.
