Lac Hong University wins Vietnam IoT Hackathon 2017

(ĐN)- Dong Nai-based Lac Hong University won the champion title at the 'Vietnam Internet of Things (IoT) Hackathon 2017' – a national IoT competition in the finale on October 1.

 

(ĐN)- Dong Nai-based Lac Hong University won the champion title at the ‘Vietnam Internet of Things (IoT) Hackathon 2017’ – a national IoT competition in the finale on October 1.

With the championship, the IPG team from the university’s Information Technology and Mechatronics Faculty received VND150 million in bonus, along with support from the Viettel Telecom Corporation (Viettel) for the winning individuals and teams in building their products within a year.

The team’s winning project is intelligent electronic board using for controlling household electric system by smart phones via internet which replaces sockets and switches. Users could control household electric system at any places where internet is available.

The competition held by Viettel with the participation of 150 teams nationwide aims to support prospective start-up businesses and Vietnamese talents in the field of information and technology, particularly the internet of things.
