Viettel launches 4G services in Dong Nai province

(ĐN)- The Military Telecom Corporation Viettel on April 18 officially launched its 4G network in Dong Nai province. Vice Chairman of Dong Nai People’s Committee Tran van Vinh attended the inauguration ceremony.

According to representative of Viettel, Viettel is using 4TX/4RX beamforming technique, which is by far better than the popular current 2TX/2RX technique in providing 4G services. Viettel will offer a broad range of 4G plans with costs cheaper than 3G by 40-60% and pledges to ensure a download speed of 30-50 Mbps, up to 7-10 times faster than the current 3G speed.

As of late January 2017, there have been 581 enterprises all over the word providing 4G services, 10 percent of them are using 4TX/4RX beamforming technique, including Viettel.

Viettel has completed the installation of more than 36,000 4G BTS stations nationwide, providing services to 95 percent of the country's population. It helps the corporation become the world’s first network operator bringing 4G services to the all of Vietnam.
