Participants included officials at Dong Nai Nature and Culture Reserve; teachers; members of Green Clubs in Vinh Cuu district. The training courses provided participants propaganda methods, skills on protecting environment as well as preserving elephants.
This is one of the activities of the project on urgent protection of wild elephants in Dong Nai province for the 2016-2020 period.
Over the past time, elephants’ habitats have been reduced and degraded, leading to a lack of food and more conflicts between the animals and residents. One of the useful measures to conserve elephants is to raise public awareness, especially among students.
