Hi-BioTech Park established in Dong Nai

(ĐN)- Director Pham Van Sang of Department of Science and Technology said that the Government issued the Decision No.792/QĐ-TTg approving a master plan on developing high-tech industrial zones through to 2020 and a direction to 2030.

Accordingly, hi-tech zones invested by the provinces and cities will also be established, including the Hi-BioTech Park in Dong Nai, the Biotech Park in Hanoi, and Ascendas-Protrade Tech Park in Binh Duong.

The Hi-BioTech Park, former Dong Nai Biotechnology Application Center, located on an area of 208 hectares in Cam My district’s Xuan Duong commune. It aims to support the development of technological science in Dong Nai and neighbor provinces. Accordingly, it will conduct basic, applied research of scientific themes related to biotechnology serving agriculture, health and the environment. Besides, the park will also receive and transfer, as well as provide consulting services related to modern biotechnology to produce biological products, train and develop human resources for the high-tech industry and commercialize products related to biotechnology.
