The Asian-Oceania Computing Industry Organization (ASOCIO) ICT Summit 2014 is slated to take place from October 28-31 in Vietnam's Hanoi and Danang city, with the theme "ICT - the new paradigm in social-economic development and agriculture restructuring".

The Asian-Oceania Computing Industry Organization (ASOCIO) ICT Summit 2014 is slated to take place from October 28-31 in Vietnam’s Hanoi and Danang city, with the theme “ICT - the new paradigm in social-economic development and agriculture restructuring”.
Over 700 delegates were expected to attend this year's summit, which has more than 200 international delegates who are leaders of associations and IT corporations of over 20 countries of Asian-Oceania region.
Vietnam Software and IT Services Association (Vinasa) chairman Truong Gia Binh said that Vietnam-ASOCIO ICT Summit 2014 was a big opportunity for the ICT sector in particular and Vietnam’s economy in general.
“This is an opportunity for Vietnam to study experiences from the world, make IT be the new paradigm in social, economic development, and agriculture restructuring. ASOCIO ICT Summit 2014 is expected to bring real benefits, and create a new mark of Vietnam in the IT industry,” Binh stressed.
Speaking at the Vietnam ICT Summit 2013, prime minister Nguyen Tan Dung affirmed “IT is the foundation of a new development paradigm and the shortest path for Vietnam to accompany with developed countries and the times.”
This vision will continue to be developed more deeply and widely through discussions of Vietnamese and international policy makers, economic experts and business leaders at Vietnam - ASOCIO ICT Summit 2014.
Many international enterprises attending Vietnam-ASOCIO ICT Summit 2014 also registered to join Japan ICT Day 2014, which will focus the theme “Vietnam-Japan ICT Collaboration”, including ICT human resource for Vietnam-Japan cooperation and collaboration between the two countries in big projects.
ASOCIO Summit 2014 is the biggest and the most important annual IT event of Asia – Oceania region.
This is the second time ASOCIO ICT Summit is to take place in Vietnam. In 2003, the first ASOCIO ICT Summit was held in Hanoi, that made a strong effect for the development of Vietnam's IT industry.
ASOCIO is the largest IT international association of Asia - Oceania, with 22 official members, representing 22 economies in the region including India, South Korea, Japan, Australia, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam and more, and five guest member associations from the United States, France, Britain, Spain and Canada.
