Representatives of the centers said the design of their joint product had been finished and that they were able to control sensitivity and stability of the chip, the first of its kind in Vietnam to be created by the MEMS (Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems) technique.

The chip can be made in different sizes and measurement ranges, with a consistence rate of more than 95%.

The centers have spent around two years working on the chip and six months testing it. The chip will be combined with ICDREC’s microprocessor SG V8-01 for application to pressure control in gas pipes, water measurement in washing machines, dish-cleaning machines, water tanks, irrigation and flood prevention projects and blood pressure measurement.

Global Technical Service Company, which is located at Quang Trung Software City in HCMC’s District 12, has signed a cooperation deal with the centers to apply the chip to producing devices for water measurement and storage.

The centers are looking for more partners to promote their product.
