(ĐN)- Dong Nai Department of Science and Technology (DoST) has recently established Council for Science and Technology to make a preliminary evaluation of scientific research project on Tan Trieu pomelo value chain of Dr. Pham Van Sang, Director of the DoST.
The project indicated the Tan Trieu pomelo value chain’s shortcomings and limitations such as seeding, low yields, difficulties in expanding plantation area, a loose association between the growers, consumers, researchers and managers, fairness in profit distribution.
To overcome the above limitations, the project has taken solutions, including improving the output and quality of pomelo, reduce farming costs and lower the price of products, raise brand value, market expansion, offer incentives in profit distribution and strengthen the harmonious development.
This is a significant project as it helps to enhance product quality and achieve sustainable development, assessed the Council.
