(ĐN)- A ceremony was held in Hanoi on April 24 to present the Vietnam Fund for Scientific and Technological Creations (Vifotec) awards to 33 winners of the 2013 competition for technical creativity.
The awarded projects, including five first prizes, five second prizes, 12 third prizes and 11 consolation prizes, were selected from 86 entries sent to the competition, mainly in mechanics and automation, materials technology, information, electronics, telecommunications, biology and environment.
Of the awardees, Dong Nai-based Lac Hong University excellently won three prizes including one second prize for the work "Designing and making automatic spark coil assembling system carried out by Pham Van Toan, Ngo Thanh Binh and Nguyen Van Tan; one third prize with the work "Solution to automatically transport goods using smart" by Tran Van Thanh, Tran Viet Thien and Nguyen Quang Cuong; and a consolation prize with the project "Locating for robots to move by using camera and landmark" by Le Hoanh Anh and Ngo Van Thuyen.
The annual award is co-organised by the Vietnam Union of Technical and Scientific Associations and the Vietnam Fund for Supporting Scientific and Technological Creations, aiming to stimulate the creation of products with strong competitiveness in domestic and international markets.
