The orientation was set in the 2013-2015 working term of the Association for Vietnamese Scientists and Experts in France (AVSE) during the association’s second congress on May 25.
In the term, the scientists and experts have set to expand their network, organise more thematic workshops, and boost the establishment of partnership and business cooperation with the French scientific institutions to promote Vietnam-France relations.
AVSE Chairman Nguyen Duc Khuong reported that during 2011-2013 the association has organised 20 international conferences, symposiums and training courses focusing on the fields of construction, finance and economics, IT and telecommunications.
Noticeably, AVSE hosted several talks dealing with historical, legal, and geopolitical issues relating to the East Sea to affirm Vietnam ’s national sovereignty over Hoang Sa and Truong Sa archipelagos, Khuong added.
The congress elected AVSE’s 13-member advisory council and its 22- member executive board.
