The first ever Vietnam International Mobile Conference and Exhibition kicks off in Hanoi on Oct. 18, expected to offer visitors a banquet of mobile telecoms technology.
The highlight of the four-day event is a conference, scheduled for Oct. 19, with the theme ‘the future of Vietnam’s mobile sector’, with the participation of speakers from managing agencies and top telecommunications operators in Vietnam and around the world.
The event will focus on Vietnam’s policies to develop broadband infrastructure, telecom application and 3G services in Vietnam.

The visitors will also be offered opportunities to try the latest mobile applications such as mobile games, e-banking or mobile TV by leading domestic content providers, namely VTC and Smaato.
During the event, the organising board will also hold a jobs fair to help bring potential employees and businesses together.
Many famous mobile brands such as Sony, Motorola, Alcatel and LG will compete for the ‘most attractive mobile products’ award, sponsored by the Xa Hoi Thong Tin (Information Society) Magazine and the Online newspaper VnMedia.
The organising board expects Mobile Vietnam 2012 to become a major international mobile telecom event in Vietnam and to be held annually.
