This year, the contest attracted the participation of 17 teams from 16 countries and territories in the region. In the Group, the Lac Hong University team surpassed Indonesian team to take the first place. It continued to beat the Hong Kong’s host team in the quarterfinal and the Japanese team in the semifinal.
In the final round, China defeated the Vietnamese team to win the championship this year.

Japan and Thailand won third prize at the contest.
Vietnam will host 2013 Asia-Pacific Robocon Contest.
