Japan transfers latest battery technology to VN

Vietnam ’s Hanel One-member Limited Company will produce the first 3G lithium-ion batteries in the world with technology transferred by the Coccolo Corp. of Japan .

Vietnam ’s Hanel One-member Limited Company will produce the first 3G lithium-ion batteries in the world with technology transferred by the Coccolo Corp. of Japan .

A cooperative deal was signed in Tokyo on March 23.

Made of magnesium extracted from sea water, the rechargeable battery is environmental friendly.

The 3G lithium-ion battery is the result of a 7-year study by Prof. Takashi Yabe of the Tokyo Institute of Technology.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Coccolo Corp. Chairman Kazuyuki Toyosato said only Vietnam is provided with this battery manufacturing technology, which is the latest in the world today.

All batteries produced by Hanel will be exported to Japan , he added.
