DUSTA contributes to provincial development

Collectives and individuals receive certificates of merit for their contributions to the union’s activities.

The conference was attended by Secretary General Pham Van Tan of Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations (VUSTA), Standing Deputy Secretary Le Hong Phuong of Party Committee, Vice Chairwoman Huynh Thi Nga of People’s Council and Vice Chairman Nguyen Thanh Tri of People’s Committee.   

In 2011, DUSTA members made efforts to promote the dissemination of scientific and technological knowledge among the public and actively involved in scientific and technological activities, education and training, environmental protection, health care, the development of the community and hunger eradication and poverty reduction.

Addressing at the conference, Phuong suggested that the union would continue to do its utmost  to improve the quality of professional activities and gathered outstanding scientists to take part in consultation, evaluation and supervision of many provincial projects.

Over the past time, the union has made strong developments with the participation of over 10,000 intellectuals in the scientific and technological circle and 26 member associations across the province.

On this occasion, the union honored 26 collectives and 46 individuals for their contributions to the union’s activities.
