VNG, Vietnam’s leading internet company, signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Japanese social gaming company DeNA in Hanoi on November 22 to export its social network games to Japan.

The VNG Game “Pig Farm” has been present in the Japanese market through the social gaming website Yahoo!Mobage.

DeNA and VNG are working together to change the language of VNG’s “Sky Garden” game to Japanese to introduce it to Japanese customers.

VNG Director Le Hong Minh said Japan is the first destination in his company’s software development strategy to export games to the International market. Its exports to Japan, the most demanding market in the world, are considered the golden prize for Vietnamese game makers.

VNG is committed to producing highly competitive social network games and bring them to the global market, Minh added.

In his speech at the singing ceremony, Managing Director DeNA Asia Pacific Holdings Pte.Ltd, Tetsuya Mori, praised Vietnam’s great potential for internet development, saying his company will boost its investment in Vietnam and create the best possible conditions for VNG to penetrate the Japanese market further.

VNG currently provides more than 20 services for popular entertainment and e-commerce, and employs 1,500 members of staff, including 250 senior technical experts.

DeNA is one of the world’s leading online service providers with annual revenue of more than US$1.5 billion.
