Apart from using biogas for cooking, many households have utilized biogas to fuel lighting systems. Tran Van Quynh in Gia Tan 1 said: "My family raises about 700 pigs and 5,000 chickens. Each day, animal droppings are transformed into biogas. Apart from using biogas to cook, I have used it for the lighting system. At present, all the lamps to warm pigs and light the pigsties are fueled by biogas. The biogas plant helps me to save a million dong every month."
At present, many biogas plants at household levels have been built and put into operation in the district. Accordingly, more than 300 households have been using biogas to fuel electric generator, saving power per day.
