Dong Nai City implements solutions for science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation development

On May 25, the Steering Committee for Science and Technology Development, Innovation and Digital Transformation of Dong Nai City (hereinafter referred to as the Steering Committee) held a briefing conference with steering committees of subordinate Party organizations and related units. The conference was conducted in both in-person and online formats, connecting to 95 wards and communes across the city.

The hybrid conference, with the main venue at the City Party Committee headquarters, was co-chaired by: Member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairwoman of the City People's Council, Deputy Head of the Steering Committee Ton Ngoc Hanh; Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairwoman of the municipal Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, Deputy Head of the Steering Committee Huynh Thi Hang; Member of the Standing Board of the City Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Le Truong Son.

Also attending the conference were members of the Standing Board of the City Party Committee, members of the City Party Executive Committee, and leaders of departments, agencies, and localities.

At the conference, City Party Committee member, Director of the municipal Department of Science and Technology Pham Van Trinh briefly reported on the results of implementing Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW on breakthrough development of national science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation (Resolution No. 57) and the bottlenecks, difficulties, solutions, and major orientations in implementing Resolution No. 57 in the city.

Subsequently, representatives of localities and units in the city shared many effective models and solutions in implementing Resolution No. 57. They also proposed and recommended several issues related to digital human resources; the identification of a framework model for digital transformation, community-level innovation spaces; and suggested the need for a common list of expenditures for science and technology, innovation to ensure compliance with regulations.

Speaking at the conference, Member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairwoman of the City People's Council, Deputy Head of the Steering Committee Ton Ngoc Hanh requested: Each member of the Steering Committee needs to further enhance their role and responsibility to ensure the effective implementation of tasks related to science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation development. Simultaneously, all levels and sectors need to widely disseminate Resolution No. 57 to create a strong ripple effect among the people and business community, encouraging people and businesses in the area to actively participate in the digital transformation process, promoting the development of the digital economy and digital society.

She also suggested leaders of communes and wards need to urgently review and consolidate the operations of community digital technology groups to provide the most effective support to the people. At the same time, they need to promote and strengthen the capacity of the consulting team, experts, and the assisting team for the Steering Committee. The Standing Agency of the Steering Committee and subordinate Party organizations were instructed to focus on addressing bottlenecks related to human resources through enhanced training and regular professional development programs to promptly update new technological knowledge. At the same time, strict reporting and progress monitoring through specialized software systems must be maintained and strengthened in the coming period.
