Pham Van Trinh, Member of the Provincial Party Committee and Director of the Dong Nai Department of Science and Technology (DoST), attended the conference in person at the Ministry’s headquarters.

At the Dong Nai connection point, the conference was chaired by Vo Hoang Khai, Deputy Director of the DoST, with the participation of Nguyen Thanh Phong, also Deputy Director of DoST.

At the conference, delegates listened to reports on the 2025 review of state management in science and technology at the local level, outstanding results and activities of the sector across localities, as well as orientations and commitments of the MoST toward provincial and municipal authorities.

According to the MoST, in 2025, it advised and submitted to the National Assembly the promulgation of 10 laws and one resolution, forming a foundational legal framework for the digital era. Revenue from the digital technology industry was estimated at USD 198 billion, up 26% compared to 2024 and exceeding the 2025 target by 16%. Total transactions via the National Data Integration and Sharing Platform were estimated at 1.2 billion, surpassing the 2025 plan by 30%. In the field of innovation, Dong Nai, together with Hanoi and the provinces of Thanh Hoa, Son La, and Tay Ninh, established innovation centers and investment funds, put innovation centers into operation, and set up venture capital funds. Dong Nai also established and officially launched the provincial Science and Technology Development Fund.

In the digital technology industry, Dong Nai attracted significant investment interest, particularly from Coherent Group (United States), and inaugurated a semiconductor manufacturing plant in July 2025. In the information technology industry, the province is implementing the Long Thanh Concentrated Digital Technology Park project.

In the field of intellectual property, the DoST organized activities marking World Intellectual Property Day (April 26) in 2025 under the theme “Intellectual property and music: Feel the rhythm of intellectual property,” attracting the participation of more than 200 delegates.
