Appraisal of the list on provincial-level science and technology tasks for 2026

On October 2, the Department of Science and Technology (DoST) of Dong Nai province organized the Scientific Advisory Council to determine the list of provincial-level science and technology tasks for 2026 (phase 1). Provincial Party Committee member, Director of the Department of Science and Technology of Dong Nai province Pham Van Trinh, Chairman of the Council, chaired the meeting.

At the meeting, representatives of DoST of Dong Nai province - the standing body of the Provincial Science and Technology Council - reported on the results of synthesizing and analyzing proposed provincial-level science and technology tasks for 2026 (phase 1) in the fields of social sciences and humanities.

Accordingly, 19 topics and 1 project were proposed, focusing on issues such as: Applying artificial intelligence (AI) to teaching, research, and educational management activities; building policy mechanisms to support businesses to invest in innovating production technology; researching solutions to promote the province's innovation index; solutions for developing science and technology enterprises based on application, technology transfer, and intellectual property exploitation; researching the spiritual and cultural life of people in border areas; improving the effectiveness of ensuring security and order in border communes of the province...

The Council discussed and evaluated the urgency, advantages, and limitations of the proposed tasks. At the same time, a secret ballot was conducted to approve the list of provincial-level science and technology tasks for 2026 (phase 1), in the field of social sciences and humanities. As a result, 9 out of 20 proposed tasks were approved by the council.
