As part of a working visit to three Cambodian border provinces, a Dong Nai delegation led by Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Vo Tan Duc extended New Year greetings to Kratie province on April 9.
The delegation was received by Va Thon, member of the Central Committee of the Cambodian People’s Party, Chairman of the Cambodian People’s Party and Governor of Kratie province; Hua Si Diem, Chairman of the Kratie Provincial Council, along with provincial leaders, representatives of agencies, units and armed forces.

On behalf of the Party Committee, authorities and people of Dong Nai province, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Vo Tan Duc highly appreciated the “good neighborly” relationship between the two localities, particularly their coordination in building a border line of peace, friendship, cooperation and comprehensive development. He highlighted the connectivity for trade exchange through National Highway 13 and the Hoa Lu – Tra Peang Sre international border gates. At the same time, he expressed his pleasure at the overall development achievements of Cambodia in general and Kratie province in particular.
On this occasion, the working delegation also briefed the host province on Dong Nai’s socio-economic development following the implementation of the two-tier local government model. Accordingly, Dong Nai now spans more than 12,737 sq.km, with a population of around 4.5 million. In 2025, the province recorded budget revenue exceeding VND100 trillion. Its transport infrastructure has been steadily improved, encompassing all five modes of transport, notably with Long Thanh International Airport expected to become operational in 2026.
In addition, Dong Nai currently has 58 industrial parks, including 43 in operation, attracting investment from 51 countries and territories with total registered capital exceeding US$43.41 billion. The province remains committed to creating favorable conditions for foreign enterprises and investors to cooperate and expand their operations.
For his part, Va Thon, member of the Central Committee of the Cambodian People’s Party, Chairman of the Cambodian People’s Party and Governor of Kratie province, expressed his appreciation for the goodwill extended by Dong Nai province. He affirmed that Kratie and Dong Nai would continue to promote their traditional friendship, further deepen cooperation while maintaining security and order. Both sides will also enhance coordination in combating cross-border crimes, contributing to building a peaceful, friendly, stable and developing Vietnam–Cambodia border.
On this occasion, the delegation presented friendship gifts to Kratie province.
