Dong Nai youth gear up for national election day

In the lead-up to the nationwide election of deputies to the National Assembly (NA) and People’s Councils at all levels on March 15, the youth in Dong Nai province have organized a variety of practical activities to welcome the event.

The Provincial Youth Union, Youth Federation, Students’ Association and the Young Pioneers Council have called on Youth Union officials, members and young people to wear the Vietnam Youth shirts when casting their ballots. The activity aims to demonstrate the sense of responsibility and pioneering role of the younger generation in exercising their rights and obligations as citizens, while also creating a unified and vibrant atmosphere and affirming the exemplary role of youth in major national events.

In addition to joining effects to launch mobile propaganda campaigns about the election of deputies to the NA and People’s Councils at all levels to raise public awareness of the significance of the vote, the Binh Phuoc ward Youth Union recently inaugurated a youth project featuring a lighting system and rows of national flags along Tan Dong 3 neighborhood.

The project was implemented along a 500-meter road section equipped with a lighting system and national flags. It helps create a solemn yet festive atmosphere ahead of the election, while improving urban aesthetics, contributing to public security and order, and affirming the role of Youth Union members in local development.

Long Phuoc commune Youth Union, in coordination with Long Phuoc High School’s  Youth Union, organized the program “Young voters with national festival day” in association with the activity “When I am 18”. Around 250 Youth Union members and students of the school took part in a range of meaningful activities such as musical performances featuring songs expressing patriotism, national pride and the aspirations of youth; exchanges and discussions on the role of young people in national construction and defense; and especially a short play titled “The Ballot – The People’s Trust”. Through these activities, meaningful messages about the value of each ballot and the sacred rights and responsibilities of citizens in building a state of the people, by the people and for the people were spread among students.

To spread the atmosphere of the election of deputies to the NA and People’s Councils for the 2026–2031 term among Youth Union members and young people and the wider community, Long Khanh ward Youth Union has launched a photo contest titled “I vote – I am proud”, open to Youth Union members aged 18 and above who will take part in the election.

On election day, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on March 15, Youth Union members and young people are encouraged to capture meaningful moments at polling stations, expressing their excitement, responsibility and pride when exercising their voting rights. They will then post the photos along with captions on their personal Facebook pages using the hashtags #toidibaucu, #TuoitreDongNai, #TuoitreLongKhanh, and send the post links and original photos to the organizing committee via Zalo at 0348.517.638.
