On January 31, a working delegation of the Standing Committee of the Dong Nai Provincial People’s Council, led by Tran Van Mi, Member of the Provincial Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Council, paid visits, conducted inspections, and presented Lunar New Year (the Year of the Fire Horse) greetings and gifts to several border guard posts and border communes across the province.

Accompanying the delegation were Senior Lieutenant Colonel Doan Trong Nghia, Deputy Commander and Chief of Staff of the Provincial Border Guard Command, along with other delegates.
Under the program, the delegation paid visits and presented Lunar New Year gifts to the following border guard posts: Loc Thinh, Loc Thanh, Loc Thien, Loc Tan, and Hoa Lu, as well as to the People’s Councils of border communes, including Loc Thanh (Lộc Thạnh) and Loc Thanh (Lộc Thành).
At each location, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Council Tran Van Mi extended Lunar New Year greetings to officers and soldiers at border guard posts, as well as to local officials, civil servants, employees, and workers at localities and enterprises, wishing them a new year of peace, prosperity, good health, and happiness. He also commended the achievements and contributions of units, agencies, and enterprises in 2025, while expressing his hope that in 2026 they would continue to build on these successes and achieve even greater accomplishments.
At the border guard posts under the Provincial Border Guard Command, Vice Chairman Tran Van Mi recognized and praised the achievements in combating and suppressing crime and in maintaining heightened operational readiness before, during, and after the Lunar New Year, in accordance with directives of the Vietnam Border Guard Command, thereby contributing to the successful protection of the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam.

Tran Van Mi emphasized that during the peak period of the Lunar New Year 2026 and in preparation for the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People’s Councils at all levels for the 2026–2031 term, officers and soldiers of the units must continue to maintain combat readiness strictly; closely coordinate with relevant functional forces to keep a firm grasp of the situation; proactively respond to and successfully handle any emerging contingencies without allowing passivity or surprise; and ensure safety for the people to celebrate the Spring and the Lunar New Year, while safeguarding security during key periods.
