Provincial leaders pay tribute at Martyrs’ Cemetery on the occasion of 81st founding anniversary of Vietnam People’s Army

On the morning of December 18, Comrade Ton Ngoc Hanh, Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairwoman of the Provincial People’s Council, led a ceremony to offer incense and flowers in tribute to President Ho Chi Minh, Vietnamese Heroic Mothers and fallen heroes at the Provincial Martyrs’ Cemetery (Long Binh Ward), on the occasion of the 81st anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People’s Army (December 22, 1944 – 2025) and the 79th anniversary of the National Resistance Day (December 19, 1946 – 2025).

Attending the ceremony were Comrades Nguyen Van Ut, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee; Vo Tan Duc, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Thai Bao, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Head of the Provincial Party Committee’s Organization Commission; along with members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, members of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, leaders of the Provincial Military Command, the Provincial Public Security, departments and agencies, Youth Union members and the provincial armed forces.

The wreath of the delegation bears the inscription: “The Provincial Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dong Nai Province, together with the Party Committees, People’s Councils, People’s Committees and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees of communes and wards across the province, forever remember and honor the contributions of fallen heroes.”

In a solemn and reverent atmosphere, delegates observed a moment of silence in remembrance of the great President Ho Chi Minh, Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, General Vo Nguyen Giap and fallen heroes who devoted their lives and made sacrifices for the independence and freedom of the nation.

Before the spirit of the great President Ho Chi Minh, Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, General Vo Nguyen Giap and fallen heroes, provincial leaders, the Provincial Military Command, the Provincial Public Security, officers and soldiers of the provincial armed forces, agencies, departments, sectors and Youth Union members pledged their determination to unite, overcome difficulties and challenges, and firmly build and safeguard the Fatherland in all circumstances.

Delegates reflected on the “Determined to Fight, Determined to Win” tradition of the Vietnam People’s Army over 81 years of building, combat, victory and growth, as well as the 79th anniversary of the National Resistance Day.

At the same time, they affirmed that while time passes, the victories of the Vietnamese people and the heroic Vietnam People’s Army in the cause of national construction and defense, resistance against foreign aggression and safeguarding territorial integrity will forever be recorded in national history as some of its most glorious chapters – a shining symbol of the complete triumph of revolutionary heroism, human intellect, Vietnamese strength and the stature of the era, leaving an enduring mark on the world history in the 20th century.

Following the tribute ceremony with incense and floral offerings, the provincial leaders and delegates proceeded to offer incense at the graves of fallen heroes resting at the Provincial Martyrs’ Cemetery, and paid tribute at the Temple dedicated to President Ho Chi Minh and the Martyrs’ Monument.
