The Dong Nai Union of Science and Technology Associations is standing at a new development juncture, closely linked to the context of the (new) Dong Nai accelerating the implementation of Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation and national digital transformation. In this “flow” of development, the establishment of clear and feasible strategic orientations is of special importance. This not only affirms the role of the intellectual community but also helps build a solid knowledge foundation for the province’s rapid and sustainable development.
After five years of persistent efforts to consolidate its organizational structure and expand its activities, the Dong Nai Union of Science and Technology Associations has gradually affirmed its position as the province’s “intellectual home” — a metaphor referring to a shared platform that brings together scientists, experts and experienced engineers who directly contribute to Dong Nai’s strategic issues. Notably, following the provincial merger, the Union has brought together 34 member associations, seven organizational members and more than 55,000 individual members. Among them are thousands of doctors, masters, engineers, physicians, lecturers and leading experts working at research institutes, universities, enterprises and state management agencies. This is the largest intellectual force the province has ever had, a “valuable capital”, representing a precious resource in both quantity and quality, enabling the Union to confidently enter a new stage of development.
Over the past five years, the Dong Nai Union of Science and Technology Associations has effectively promoted its role in uniting intellectuals, inspiring dedication and creating a healthy academic and creative environment. Consultancy and social criticism activities have been carried out in an increasingly systematic manner, focusing on practical issues of the province such as economic development, agriculture, environmental protection and social welfare. Through reviewing and providing feedback on major projects and programs, as well as participating in forums chaired by the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, the scientific voice has helped improve the quality of policy-making while clearly demonstrating the social responsibility of the intellectual community.
At the same time, the science and technology innovation movement has continued to spread widely throughout the community, from schools to intellectuals and technical staff, igniting passion for research and a spirit of creativity. These efforts contribute to the formation and strengthening of innovation resources for the province’s long-term development.
Entering a new development phase amid an extensive wave of digital transformation, globalization and international integration, along with the urgent requirement for sustainable growth, the role of intellectuals is increasingly affirmed as a key driving force for development. With strong aspirations to contribute and an unceasing spirit of innovation, the Union is expected to continue accompanying the province in shaping a sustainable future based on knowledge and science.
With the guiding principle of “Unity – creativity – breakthrough – development”, together with the close attention and leadership of the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People’s Committee, the Dong Nai Union of Science and Technology Associations has all the necessary conditions to promote its role as the local hub of knowledge and innovation, contributing to the realization of the aspiration to build Dong Nai into a green, prosperous, civilized and modern province.
